Non-local rides have their own "push pin" showing where the ride started along with ride data if you click on it.
If you zoom in to one of the house icons you will see there are a lot of rides that start and finish in that area. These are shown as red lines with partial transparency. So a light pink line means we may have only ridden that particular street once, whereas the brightest red lines indicate numerous rides along that particular stretch.
