Another ride led by Lap Lai, so you know it'll have some hill work.

We took our own advice from last week and drove to the starting point. Saved 30 miles that way.

It was actually quite cold. We started out too fast, trying to keep up with the lead group before we were warmed up. Gotta go at our own pace!

The only downside of this ride was all the 4x4 rigs towing dirt bikes and such on Washougal River road. Apparently there was some kind of race they were all going to. Lots of not-so-bicycle-friendly traffic on that stretch.

Other than that it was an awesome, beautiful ride. Never knew there were so many big houses (on big hills!) in Clark County. I think we entered into Skamania County too, for what it's worth.
